Summary of Project

    "Pro-Gen" is my final year project and my biggest project so far. "Pro-Gen" is a first person city explorer where you have to collect all of the objects or spheres located around the city in order to complete the game. You have to dodge the traffic other wise you are going to end up dead and having to start again. Play through it multiple times to make sure you play every level!

    This game is a showcase of a procedural technology I was working on as my focus for my final project. I decided to showcase it in a game to best show it off. The technology itself is a city builder. It uses perlin noise to generate the height of the buildings and a grid to place them. It them finds factors of the size of the grid and ues that to decide how many streets and buildings between them there should be.

Pro-Gen City Explorer has these features:

  • Procedurally Generated City with streets, cars and lamp posts.

  • Use the grappling Hook to help navigate around the city to collect all of the orbs!

  • Make sure to stay on the sidewalk or dodge the cars otherwise you are end up starting again.
